Conservatory roof repairs
In our experience, the majority of issues which develop over time with a conservatory can successfully be remedied with a comprehensive repair.
It is not unusual over time for conservatory roof panels to slip down and move out of alignment, skylights and roof vents to leak, boxed and valley gutters to leak. Some water leaks only occur when there is the correct combination of wind and rain. In our experience all of these issues can be resolved with a good quality repair. There is no need to replace your conservatory roof when such isolated issues arise.
The most common types of conservatory repair we asked to carry out include:
When you notice water dripping from your conservatory roof, it can be difficult to know who to call to carry out a competent conservatory repair.
You might try contacting the initial installer, but may find out that they are either no longer trading or are unwilling to carry out conservatory repairs – even whilst their work is under guarantee.
You might try contacting a Roofing Company or a local Glazing Company; but conservatory roofs are complex, specialist structures. A Glazing Company should be able to help in certain circumstances e.g where window units have become misted or window/door locks need replacing. But when it comes to resolving issues with a conservatory roof, you need more specialist help. So often we are called in to resolve a continuing leak from a conservatory roof after “repairs” have already been carried out by non-specialist companies – their works either simply haven’t been successful or have failed within a short space of time.
At Denton we are commited to providing a professional solution to any problems that may arise with your conservatory roof. With over 25yrs in the conservatory industry, we have the experience and knowledge to tackle any job. At Denton we do not build new conservatories – we repair and refurbish existing structures.
We are happy to work on all makes and styles of conservatory roof or other types of glazed roof structure – we don’t even need to know the original installer.
Keeping your conservatory in a good state of repair will help to extend it’s useful life for many years.
Generally the sides and supporting framework of a conservatory develop few problems as the conservatory ages. In our experience, it is most commonly the conservatory roof which develop issues over time. These most commonly start as an occasional niggling water leak and can occur on glazed roof structures of any age – although in general we find issues requiring repair tend to become apparent in new conservatories after around 10 years.
To extend the useful life of a conservatory it is important to keep on top of its maintenance…water leaks don’t resolve themselves and in some instances; if a leak is left unchecked, considerable secondary water damage can occur. This is especially true for timber frames structures and where water leaks become evident from either boxed or valley gutters.
At Denton we have the knowledge and equipment to enable access to even those tricky to reach areas of a conservatory roof. We can carry out a competent targeted repair and advise on any further aspects to “keep an eye on” so you can keep on top of your conservatory maintenance.
All completed works are guaranteed – we are fully insured and do not have a callout fee or charge for quotations.
